Native Americans and Alcohol: a Preliminary Annotated Bibliography
Alcohol use and abuse is widespread among Native Americans. As a result, much research has focused on this topic. To date, however, no comprehensive compilation of the literature exists. This article attempts to remedy the situation by providing a preliminary, annotated bibliography on the subject and a brief review of the various methodological and theo retical approaches reported in the literature. While the authors are in the process of compiling a comprehensive version, this preliminary bibliog raphy represents an attempt to make available as soon as possible the most significant citations.
